How your writer is sat here focusing more on the fact two "will they, won't they?" lovebirds furthered their unwanted love story with some mistletoe shenanigans than that a former NXT Women's Champion and arguably the greatest performer on the roster was back in singles actions tells you all you need to know about the current direction of this developmental dud.

The circumstances that set Elektra Lopez's match against Io Shirai in motion to begin with weren't the most compelling, it has to be said, with the former clashing with the latter over Legado's want to be seen first in the trainer's room. But the match itself actually delivered Lopez's finest in-ring work to date.

Not even an unexpectedly delightful powerhouse vs. high flyer showcase could leave a sweet taste of cinnamon in fan's mouths this week, however, as Xyon Quinn was soon on hand to return the distraction favour by hanging f*cking mistletoe over Lopez's head mid-match.

A blinded by love Elektra nearly leant in too before Santos Escobar attempted to jump the ladies' man. But the damage was already done as she ate a moonsault-induced defeat at the hands of the former champ.

I know I sound like a broken record, but add this overall programme to the ever-growing list of angles next to no-one is interested in. Quinn could be a destroyer of sorts with his skillset. Instead he's faffing around with flowers and making creepy eyes at potential dates.
