5 Best Opponents For Kurt Angle's WrestleMania 35 Retirement Match

3. The Undertaker

None of the bouts on our list will excel from a workrate standpoint. That's fine, because expecting 50-year-old Kurt Angle to pop a star rating in 2019 is beyond unreasonable. He isn't Jushin Thunder Liger.

Still, wrestling The Undertaker wouldn't just yield a clunky, clunky bout on 7 April: their respective physical states could render it borderline unwatchable. That's how sad some of their most recent performances have looked.

Regardless, facing 'The Deadman' does make sense for Angle. He isn't one of his greatest rivals, but if he wants to go out against a respected veteran rather than an up-and-comer, 'Taker is among the biggest names WWE could pull for WrestleMania 35. He, too, looks to be on the verge of retirement, and while transforming this into a double "farewell match" would get convoluted, that they have so many shared experiences in this company (and a blockbuster pay-per-view match at No Way Out 2006) would make it easy to fill those pre-match video packages.

'Taker's Starrcast II appearance complicates matters. Recent reports suggest that him and WWE are back in negotiations, but does he have enough time to prepare for 'Mania 35? We'll see.
