Seth Rollins wasn't the only fellow Shield stablemate to benefit from Roman Reigns' royal screw-up.

Floundering for the first half 2016, Dean Ambrose went from holding the Intercontinental Championship to having a disappointing match with Brock Lesnar at WrestleMania 32, before a never ending program with Chris Jericho. Through it all, it was difficult for him to maintain momentum. That was until Money in the Bank.

On Raw six days ahead of the event, Ambrose teased winning the opportunistic briefcase and cashing in on the winner of the Reigns vs. Rollins main event later in the night. Fans saw it as nothing more than a red herring, but as it turned out, that was exactly what happened. Ambrose cashed in the coveted contract minutes removed from Rollins' victory over Reigns to capture his first WWE World Championship.

Of course, it is highly unlikely he would have even sniffed the strap as long as Reigns was in possession of it. That said, WWE did the right thing by having Ambrose pin Reigns clean with a Dirty Deeds in the highly anticipated Shield Triple Threat match at Battleground, which marked Reigns' first on-air appearance since the suspension.

Since, Ambrose is still the reigning world champion on the SmackDown brand, and has solidified his spot as the No. 1 babyface on Tuesday nights.
