4. Loser: Karl Anderson

Poor old Karl Anderson might be regretting his decision to leave New Japan Pro Wrestling. While never a huge singles star, he and Luke Gallows were important cogs in the Bullet Club’s machine, and an important fixture in NJPW’s IWGP Heavyweight Tag Title scene.

Gallows has always had his critics, but Anderson was regarded as a vastly underrated wrestler. He always showed up with a handful of borderline excellent matches in NJPW’s annual G1 Climax tournament, even if he never enjoyed a significant singles run. In short, Anderson was a somebody in NJPW, but he’s nothing in WWE.

Anderson took a singles loss to Enzo Amore last night, and it seems barely a week passes without him eating a pinfall. He and Gallows are a hopeless unit at this point, and Anderson has been established as the duo’s designated fall guy. When something goes decisively wrong, he’s at the heart of it, and it happens with alarming regularity.

The guy deserves better, but he’s unlikely to get it any time soon. He looks more and more like a lost cause every time he steps between the ropes, and if he and Gallows can’t beat Enzo & Big Cass at the weekend, it’s curtains for them.
