5. Losers: Luke Gallows & Karl Anderson

Luke Gallows and Karl Anderson have gone from one of the world’s most dominant tag teams to a Vince McMahon comedy project in the space of 8 months. They debuted strongly through their ambiguous affiliation with AJ Styles, but gradually fell off as canon fodder in the Phenomenal One’s feuds with John Cena and Roman Reigns, and they’ve been in full decline ever since.

Their feud with The New Day has benefited nobody. It’s a strong rivalry on paper, but the execution fell apart as soon as Gallows & Anderson donned lab coats and became obsessed with Big E’s reproductive organs. WWE’s attempts at comedy have always been hit and miss, and this feud represents its lowest ebb: it’s lowbrow WrestleCrap fodder that makes both teams look like goofs, and leaves The Club in a particularly tricky position.

Last night’s Tag Title match ended in disqualification when the returning Big E charged down the ramp to take-out Gallows & Anderson. Just as the good doctors were set to diagnose their latest case of 'Ringpostitis', Big E left them lying, then celebrated in his own “unique” way: by drinking the contents of the jar that Gallows & Anderson had been keeping his, ahem, “sample” in.

It was a farcical ending to what had been a slow, plodding tag team match. Creative misgivings aside, Gallows & Anderson have never looked strong in the ring, and have been presented as a couple of high-rent jobbers who just can’t get it done between the ropes. This match only dealt them further harm.

Here’s hoping they drop the doctor shtick and get serious before their WWE careers are unsalvageable.
