2. On His Twitter "Beef" With Yoel Romero
After UFC middleweight Yoel Romero allegedly spoke out against gay marriage in the United States by saying "go for Jesus, not for gay Jesus" (the fighter later tried to explain that he wasn't speaking about gay marriage, though it seemed clear he was at the time), CM Punk had a field day on Twitter. When asked about Romero, Punk had this to say:
I don't know Yoel, I hope to meet him someday, but I do think his general message was he was pretty disappointed that we legalized gay marriage, and he's allowed to say that. That's the great thing about this country. He's absolutely allowed to say it and I'm allowed to poke fun of him on Twitter about it.
