5 Reasons AEW Should Sign Cesaro AEW (& 5 Reasons They Shouldn’t)
1. Reason He Should: Cesaro Is Incredible
Putting all other issues aside, there’s one clear reason people want to see Claudio Castagnoli in AEW. There are no two ways about it, the guy is a world-class in-ring talent. Whether it’s all the tantalising matches with his fellow super workers, the things he can do to help young talent or just elevating everyone he steps between the ropes with, Cesaro has so much left to offer.
Plus, having spent the last decade working to WWE’s strict playbook, we’ve only really seen the very best of him on a handful of occasions. Much of that was down in NXT. For much of his main roster run, we’ve only had Cesaro-lite.
Cesaro could no doubt have an incredible championship run in GCW, AAA or MLW but AEW represents the best chance for him to show off what he can really do to the widest possible audience.
Realistically, his hopes of getting a WrestleMania main event evaporated years before he left Vince McMahon’s promotion. But as All Out 2021 proved, you don’t have to be on “The Grandest Stage Of Them All” to have a capital M Moment. He could yet get his biggest ever Pay-Per-View pop by turning up after the main event at Revolution.
