6 Reasons Why Canadians Should Be Excited About WWE Network
4. Toronto May Get A PPV; It's Been 8 Years!
With WWE Network starting up in Canada, there's a hope that WWE might bring a pay-per-view event to Toronto. Canada's largest city and one of the most famous in the world hasn't had a WWE PPV since Unforgiven 2006 held in September of that year. Nobody really knows why WWE has shafted Toronto. It used to be a city that had PPVs every other year or so. There were also TV tapings that were more frequent. Last year Raw took place in Toronto once and this year it won't take place in Toronto at all. Maybe the cost of running a show in Toronto's Air Canada Centre is too high because of the tax (WWE goes to Ricoh Coliseum for live events in Toronto these days), but they should come back now that WWE Network is available here. While nothing has been announced for WWE holding a PPV in Toronto, here's hoping that WWE rewards Canadian viewers with some kind of big event perhaps in 2015 since the 2014 schedule is already in place.
