5 Reasons WWE Should Hire CM Punk (... & 5 Reasons They Shouldn't!)

7. Shouldn't - He'll Come With A Premium Price Tag

...it'll also cost serious money to bring him in.

Punk was on a reported $3 million a year at AEW, and it's hard to see him coming in for less at a bigger company. Which, fair enough, is a number WWE can easily match should they choose to do so.

The problem is how the other WWE talent - the ones who've been busting their asses on the company's behalf for years - would view such a deal. $3 million would see Punk making less money than Reigns and Lesnar, but would put him in the same ballpark as Seth Rollins - the man who very publicly described Punk as a "cancer" and warned him to stay away from the WWE.

Granted, Rollins made those comments in the guise of his heel character, but it was hard not to think he meant them. Punk's combative nature means he's never going to get along with everyone in the locker room, and him coming in as one of the top-paid stars is guaranteed to ruffle a few feathers.
