These three guys were essentially joined at the hip during the summer and autumn months in 2011, as they battled over the WWE Title. Punk famously won the WWE Title in a five-star match with John Cena at Money in the Bank, only to lose it to Del Rio at SummerSlam when the Mexican aristocrat successfully cashed-in his Money in the Bank briefcase. Cena then downed ADR to win the belt the next month at Night of Champions.

Things came to a head at the Hell in a Cell pay-per-view, where Cena defended the strap against Punk and Del Rio. By this point the three were more than familiar with one another, so you'd expect that the match would be good, but triple threats are often hard to do (and that's without factoring in the Cell stipulation either). Thankfully, they produced a corker of a main event, although the match is rarely talked about today.

While not exactly a classic in the Punk/Cena MITB mould, this was still an all-action match featuring three of the best big time WWE performers in recent memory. There were tonnes of great counters and novel spots in this one, as the three guys found ways to mix up their usual arsenal and create a compelling, original match. They also did a great job of creating a sense that anyone could win the match at any time.

In the end, it was Del Rio who walked away the victor after locking Big Match John outside of the Cell and finally seeing off Punk with the aid of a steel pipe and some top distraction work from Ricardo Rodriguez.
