5 Ups & 1 Down From AEW Rampage (Jan 6)

Ups...

Normally, this 'Ups & Downs' series dislikes when AEW puts a short squash on Rampage. The show is far too short for that sort of thing, and they only serve to take away from other segments by trying to cram too much into the 60 minutes. More good news?

This one worked.

Preston Vance has been off to a rocky start since splitting from The Dark Order and joining forces with Rush. He's been given a new nickname ("Perro Peligroso"), and appears to be feuding with a child. Thankfully, the way he disrespectfully beat Sonico and ripped off his mask on Friday got the desired reaction from fans.

Then, Vance dragged his foe up the ramp just because he could. Being honest, and despite some of the roadblocks he's been hitting early as a mask-less heel, Preston looked good here and took a step in the right direction.
