5 Ups & 10 Downs From WWE WrestleMania Raw (March 28)

8. Dominik Is Not A Baby

Can we please stop with the jokes and comments about Dominik being a child? The dude is 24 years old – and will turn 25 next week.

Corey Graves got off the latest “joke” when he suggested that Dom be sent “to juvie” for attacking Miz before his match against Rey Mysterio. It was the latest comment that everyone loves to make about Dominik being really young – did you know he’s Rey’s son?

For comparison, Austin Theory is younger. Rhea Ripley is just a few months older. And NXT’s Bron Breakker is also a few months younger than Dom.

So why do WWE (and we fans) keep treating Dom like a baby? By the time Rey was 24 going on 25, he had been wrestling for 10 years and was a multi-time WCW Cruiserweight Champion.

Maybe it’s time to stop treating Dominik like he’s Rey’s son and like he’s a young man trying to compete. It’s not helping the younger Mysterio develop as a wrestler or as a character. Theory is younger and feels like a bigger star and more of an adult than Dom, and that’s a problem.
