5 Ups & 2 Downs From Last Night's WWE NXT (Mar 28)

4. No Silver Lining

Big bloody Lars Sullivan was back in action last night, doing what he does best for the first time in a long time: beating the absolute s*** out of a poor, hapless jobber.

John Silver was his latest victim. The diminutive scrapper (whose name should be familiar to anyone with an eye on the American indie scene) lasted just 94 seconds, during which he was thoroughly mauled. Lars bludgeoned him with strikes, threw him around the squared circle, squished him with a Powerslam, then hit a diving headbutt. The Freak Accident finished things off, and Silver was sent to an early grave.

It was great to see Lars back from his unexplained absence, and he always looks good when squashing fools. Silver, an effective ragdoll, played his role too. His job was to get destroyed, and he got destroyed like a pro, with his bumping just as important in making Sullivan look great as Lars' proficiency as a monster. Here's to Lars brutally murderising everyone in the upcoming North American Title ladder match.
