Yes, R-Truth has gone from being one of the most popular rehirings ever to talking endlessly about his balls in quick backstage skits with SmackDown GM Nick Aldis. WWE has laboured this joke to the point of torture throughout the John Cena tourney. Aldis is ready to spin his tombola, then BOOM! Here comes Truth to crack lame gags about his nuts.

This week, The Miz successfully sneaked his name into the ball Aldis had opened when the GM was distracted by R-Truth’s nonsense. The whole segment was definitely silly, but Miz's sneaky heel behaviour did come off smoothly. His resultant quarter final vs. LA Knight was good clean fun as well. Neither guy pulled up any trees out in the ring, but they kept everyone entertained for a solid 10 minutes or so.

Back on the tournament front, both LA Knight vs. Jey Uso and Gunther vs. Solo Sikoa are interesting enough semi finals. They feel a little different because it’s face vs. face and heel vs. heel, which isn't something WWE typically goes for if they can avoid it. Being honest, it's a surprise they didn't go with Jey vs. Solo and Knight vs. Gunther. Uso vs. Gunther wouldn't have been in line for the semis, because that looks likely to be the grand finale, but dual babyface vs. heel bouts were right there.

Seeing Miz sneak his way back into the running after previously losing to Jey was exactly the sort of thing the crafty veteran would do. Bonus points if Nick pulls him up on this at a later date.
