5 Ups & 2 Downs From WWE SmackDown (July 7)

2. Solo Sikoa’s Hesitancy & Jey Uso’s Motivation

Jimmy Uso and Paul Heyman aren't mentioned in that subheading above, but they're hardly bit part players in any of this Bloodline stuff. Both are playing their roles to the hilt, but special mention must go to Solo Sikoa and Jey Uso for what's going on here - they're nailing every character beat.

The way Solo shut Heyman up by slapping a hand on top of his microphone was top notch. Later, Sikoa hesitated with the ceremonial necklace Roman sports, and did a cracking job teasing that he might give in to the live crowd by putting it on himself. Solo's inevitable turn on Reigns continues to brew in the pot.

Jimmy then ate such a brutal beatdown that WWE wheeled out the stretcher job gimmick for him. That paved the way for Jey challenging Roman at SummerSlam to avenge his brother. Bonus points go to creative for letting that idea breathe before getting to it later in the night.

This is all so epic, and your writer just doesn't understand anybody who says they want WWE to move on.
