5. Randy Orton Gets KO

Triple H Randy Orton

Triple H fibbing aside, the opening confrontation starring he and Randy Orton had merit.

Orton had to convince his old Evolution cohort to give him Kevin Owens one-on-one at Crown Jewel, and Hunter sold this as a huge mistake from Randy 'cause Owens is a loose cannon that'd give Brian Pillman nightmares. Eventually, the WWE boss gave in to peer pressure, but warned Mr. RKO and the fans that they're responsible for what happens next.

One gets the feeling something special could happen in Saudi Arabia that preps KO for another stab at Cody Rhodes. The way Trips ominously warned Orton, as well as Randy's insistence that he face any consequences, suggests that Kev is about to go New Jack in ECW all of a sudden. There could be a bloody beating coming Orton's way.

The contrast in style on the mic was noticeable too. Triple H didn't shout over Randy, but instead appeared a little unsure. Meanwhile, Orton was breathing fireballs and ready for a fight. Little lie about how big Kev and Randy's friendship is or not, this was a solid promo skit that set up a tasty PLE showdown.
