5 Ups & 3 Downs From WWE SmackDown (Oct 23)

2. Zelina Vega Getting Squashed

Zelina Vega was positioned as a plucky (if in over her head) challenger for Asuka's Raw Women's Title at Clash Of Champions. That was almost exactly one month ago, and WWE followed that up with a bold move over to SmackDown in the Draft. Has that pick been wasted? So far, yes.

She played 'Generic Heel Jobber #5,670' to Bianca Belair.

Sure, Belair is awesome, but this felt so damn forced. Her SmackDown gear and the overall presentation was wonky, and someone else should've been scripted to take this beating. Zelina doesn't deserve to become the blue brand's new Dana Brooke. Surely WWE could've found an extra Bianca could slap about.

Also, what's the deal with SmackDown workers being publicly proud of the place? Dolph Ziggler wore a branded hat and Belair had her branded gear. You know what that means: Survivor Series is on the horizon, and so is more phoney show loyalty.
