5 Ups & 4 Downs From AEW Dynamite (2 Feb)
3. AHFO Politics
Failing to build any level of intrigue for whatever's going on in the Andrade/Hardy Family Office is a weekly issue.
Andrade's pursuit of Darby Allin is amusing, primarily on account of the verbiage, but audiences have been given little reason to care about the dealings between him and Matt Hardy. They near near-joint control of a stable of midcarders who rarely win on television. Their presentation is bland, unengaging, and doing nothing to elevate its cast, particularly when there's no more to the content than Hardy deriding Private Party.
Isiah Kassidy will now challenge for Sammy Guevara's TNT Championship. It feels very much like AEW are nudging towards revisiting the disastrous Hardy/Guevara pairing, which is unlikely to lock people into this feud, given their history.
Ultimately, it comes down to "what is this leading to?". At the moment, none of the answers look all that appealing.
