5 Ups & 4 Downs From AEW Dynamite (2 Feb)

Downs...

4. "The Influencer"

Chris Jericho
AEW

A functional bridge to next week's segment this may have been, but last week's segment is something that AEW - specifically, The Inner Circle - doesn't have a great track record in.

Chris Jericho's stable have hosted several town hall meetings, summits, get-togethers, and other stunted, formulaic in-ring talking segments over the past couple of years. They always feel artificial. Why would a group of people who we've been told treat each other as brothers (and at the very least have each other's phone numbers!) conveniently wait for the big, showy, in-ring segment to settle their differences? It's a contrivance - and one we should have seen the back of by now.

Next week, it's an Inner Circle "team meeting." The only difference between this and the rest, presumably, will be the lack of Eric Bischoff.

And "The Influencer" probably isn't getting over either. Remember "GFY"?
