4. More Like It For LA Knight

Yes, it's true that everyone's said this before for LA Knight, but the popular babyface looks like he’s on the upswing again following Friday's opening segment. There was some great duelling mic work with Paul Heyman on display; it’s easy for workers to look out of their depth when jawing with a promo artiste like Heyman, but Knight matched him every step of the way.

Then, he grabbed a steel chair to fend off an attack by Bron Breakker and Bronson Reed. Some onlookers may argue that this made the heels look weaker than they needed to be, but they can’t smash everyone every single time or there’s nowhere to go with the story. Besides, it's excellent to see LA doing things that feel important again.

His match vs. Reed that happened later on in the evening was a fun ride to boot. It was one that was always going to end with Breakker running in for the DQ, but that’s fine and is in keeping with the story Knight has going with Seth Rollins’ crew. He needs eyes on the back of his head, and they're determined to spear or splash him into a mushy pile of sunglasses and charisma.

If nothing else, Knight's fanbase must be chuffed that he actually has a rivalry to sink his teeth into again. LA has been rudderless since dropping the United States Title, but not anymore. Further, feuding with Seth means he'll be showing up on Raw a bit more too. It's win-win for his standing on the roster.
