5 Ups & 4 Downs From WWE SmackDown (20 June - Results & Review)
3. WWE Gets Moving On Bloodline Business
It’s borderline crazy that The Bloodline sub-plots are still going on in 2025 with no signs of stopping. Crazy in a good way! WWE whiffed on satisfying MITB follow up between Solo Sikoa and Jacob Fatu during last week's SmackDown, but they finally got going on Friday night’s episode. A face to face between both men was waaaaay more satisfying than the on-tron stuff previously.
Solo tried to mess with Jacob’s mind, then Fatu cut a strong promo about how Sikoa has been using him since day one(-ish?). This led to a brawl with JC Mateo and Jimmy Uso getting involved, so you just know there's a tag-team match incoming. Score this one down as another top tier bit of booking for the show.
Fatu vs. Sikoa is at Night Of Champions next week, but don’t be surprised if there’s a screwy finish so they can power on through to other PLEs. This is far too big a story to happen on just one supershow. As aforementioned, Triple H and his writing team can pad things out with a Fatu and Jimmy Uso vs. Solo and Mateo tag bout or two heading into SummerSlam season.
There, it'd be a huge show of faith in Jacob and Sikoa if they were handed a gimmick match on one of the biggest weekends of the entire year. Why not? They've been getting a ton of screen time on SmackDown, so their storyline merits the spotlight.
Credit to Solo for coming across as a manipulative, vindictive user who got called out for it. His mic work and those facial expressions were fantastic.
