Speaking of "the best".

Anyone who has been paying attention to WWE's product over the past 18 months knew that Riddle vs. Sami Zayn would rock the house on SmackDown. That proved to be the case come main event time on Friday - Zayn is the promotion's best utility man, and Riddle is really catching fire without Randy Orton around to split his spotlight.

No, the outcome was never really in doubt once WWE tacked on that stipulation (Riddle could challenge Roman Reigns if he vanquished Sami), but the match was as slick as they come. Sometimes, it's just a giggle to enjoy the ride even when you know the destination.

Fans were firmly in Riddle's corner too, which must please Vinnie Mac. The RK-Bro man knows how to sell his arse off, and his willingness to do that for every heel going will stand him in good stead nearer the top of WWE's cards.

Bring on Roman. What a scorcher that's going to be.
