5 Ups & 5 Downs From Last Night's WWE Backstage (Jan 7)

1. Shoot Happens

The Miz
WWE

A seemingly innocent tweet from the Fox account of some after-hours banter between the panel saw it all kick off in the aftermath.

Miz carried on as is his wont as he had his microphone removed, "They are taking the microphones off me. It was great, it was amazing. I feel like this was the best WWE Backstage episode ever. It was the best... was it the best-ever?"

When Renee retorted with a November edition, Miz assumed it must have been Punk-related, joking that "Oh, sorry. I didn't 'change the culture,' My bad. My bad" in direct reference to CM Punk's return line on the show.

Punk's ill-advised response got out before he managed to remove it from his Twitter in a failure to follow the same advice he gave to Seth Rollins several weeks ago, but 'The Voice Of The Voiceless' yet again managed to stir up buzz for the show even after it had concluded. It's likely the company will steer away from it, but will Fox or the panel address it whenever Punk makes his next appearance on the show?
