5 Ups & 5 Downs From WWE Money In The Bank 2025 (Results & Review)

For a match where four of the women involved were in their first Money in the Bank match – and one was in her first ladder match ever – Saturday’s show-opening bout was a pretty enjoyable affair.

Maybe it was having three main roster newcomers – Roxanne Perez, Giulia, and Stephanie Vaquer – in the match, but the women’s MITB match came off as a fresh offering. The women inserted some great little moments, such as Roxanne and Giulia putting aside their differences to take out Rhea Ripley, who was the biggest physical threat in the match, burying her under a pile of ladders, only for Ripley to emerge later and toss Perez like a ragdoll.

The climbing spots – which can often be the downfall of these matches – were handled well for the most part, with women flying in to play defense at the right moment. Everyone had opportunities to shine, and WWE teased several potential PLE matches for down the line (though they don’t have to go for maximum drama for each one – just let the announcers do their alleged job).

While neither MITB match was a classic, the women’s offering felt a bit more energetic and different, so it merits positive marks here.
