5 Ups & 5 Downs From WWE SmackDown (April 26 - Results & Review)
1. The Draft’s General Process
Time for Trips to get his thinking cap on.
'The Game' must try to scheme something more appealing than the dry announcements WWE goes for with the Draft every year. It's all so uninspired, and it'd be an outright lie to say Friday's opening night was a success. Far too many of the announcements were effectively, 'Hey! Wrestler A is staying put, folks!'.
That defeats the purpose of even holding a roster shakeup in the first place. On top of that, none of the legends brought in to feign excitement seemed all that interested in what was going on either. In fairness, what can The Dudley Boyz really say about a midcarder like Ricochet remaining on Raw?
Rico is great, but he's a high-flying midcarder who's barely even in key storylines at the moment. In short, him going Raw > Raw is boring as f*ck, and both Bubba Ray and D-Von had to sell it as an earth-shattering moment. Same with LA Knight staying on SmackDown and The Bloodline staying put.
