5 Ups & 6 Downs From This Week's Impact Wrestling (Jun 7)

2. Kiera Hogan Is Actually Good

The fallout between Jordynne Grace and Kiera Hogan left the latter in a difficult place. We didn’t really know if she’d be able to cope in a division with these huge personalities seeing as she wasn’t as well known – she’d mostly attached herself to others in her Impact career up until that point, so we never got the chance to see Kiera shine on her own.

From what we saw in this, Kiera can more than hang with the top females. This was unquestionably her best Impact match to date. Even though Thicc Mama Pump was in control for the bulk of the contest, Kiera showed a fighting spirit that we’ve not seen from her before. It’s that aspect of her in-ring personality that allowed her to look impressive even in defeat, as she was pinned to the mat after suffering a Grace Driver.

After this one match, Kiera could become a viable contender to the Knockouts Championship down the line. She’s not quite ready to become the face of the division, but there’s still plenty time in order to accomplish that. It turns out her leaving Jordynne’s side has worked out in her favour a bit.
