5 Ups & 6 Downs From This Week's Impact Wrestling (Jun 7)
3. Unnecessary Return
So seeing as Rosemary is ‘obsessed’ with Taya Valkyrie, the pair had a non-title match this week. The bout wasn’t half bad; it’s Taya and Rosemary after all, they’re not really capable of producing terrible matches (for the majority of the time at least). However, we’re giving it a Down here because of something that occurred towards the end of the contest.
Jessicka Havok returned to Impact Wrestling following a four year hiatus, and for whatever reason, she’s aligned herself with Father James Mitchell.
To reiterate a point from when Ace Austin debuted all those weeks ago – there’s not really enough space for another big name to come into the Knockouts division. When you’ve got the likes of Tessa Blanchard, Jordynne Grace, and Su Yung (who Mitchell set free, by the way), there just wouldn’t be enough time to have them all do their thing. Even though they’re involved in separate stories for the time being, they’re all still huge parts in Impact’s women’s roster.
Maybe Havok will have the same luck as Ace Austin did, and she’ll easily interject herself into the pool of talent on offer but at the time of writing, this one is getting a Down.
