5 Ups & 6 Downs From This Week's Impact Wrestling (Jun 7)

1. Stating The Obvious

Ever since his arrival to Impact Wrestling, Michael Elgin has been positioned as one of their top guys. Whenever he steps inside the ring, you can see why – he’s an absolute unit of a man, especially when he’s against smaller guys. There’s nothing more satisfying than seeing a guy of Rich Swann’s height, for example, being flung about by Big Mike.

Elgin’s abilities on the mic however aren’t always as good. His promos aren’t necessarily the worst, it’s just they don’t make sense sometimes, as was the case here. He stated that when Brian Cage returns from injury, he can expect to receive the same amount of pain and punishment that Elgin’s been dishing out to everyone else. Well, what else was he going to be expecting?

It’s a small thing, but it’s a thing nonetheless. Thankfully, this was an incredibly minor occurrence, and the match they have at Slammiversary on 7 July (assuming it goes ahead) will be enough to help us forget about any bad moments from the rivalry.
