5. Entertaining Skits

It feels as if it gets repeated every single week (mainly because it does), but these backstage segments from The Rascalz are really growing on your dear writer. They came across as being completely pointless at first but as the weeks went by, they became much more enjoyable to sit through. Dez, Trey, and Wentz are superb characters.

This week’s instalment saw Trey feeling left out seeing as it was Dez and Wentz who would be challenging for the World Tag Team Championships later on, but all three were able to get back on the same page after Trey realised it meant he could drink liquor since he wasn’t scheduled to wrestle. Then we add a segment from The LAX later on in the show, where Konnan said that if Ortiz and Santana weren’t doing their best, we’d be hearing the phrase ‘and new World Tag Team Champions’.

These segments aren’t the best thing on the show each week. However, they are entertaining to watch, thanks to everyone involved in the making of them. As a result, they typically end up on this side of the Ups & Downs spectrum.
