5 Ups & 6 Downs From WWE Raw (29 April - Results & Review)

2. The Bumbling Goofs

Jey Uso Damian Priest
WWE

It’s clear WWE is trying to separate Damian Priest from the rest of Judgment Day by having the group mess up his world title reign.

But rather than having them doing things that would simply upset Priest, they’re actively making the entire act – and Priest along with them – look like a bunch of amateurs, like the Social Outcasts or 3MB come back to life.

The group got owned by Jey Uso and Braun Strowman when they and Logan Paul tried a 3-on-1 attack on Jey, and then they lost the six-man tag team main event because JD McDonagh couldn’t help but inexplicably screw up, enraging Priest.

Ask yourself if you remember a successful world champion being cast as part of a loser stable just three weeks into their first title reign. Even when Imperium was screwing up around Gunther, the Ring General always looked strong and won all of his matches. Monday, Damian just looked hapless as his stablemates faltered once again.

It’s just not a good start to Priest’s reign, even if the plan is to use this as fuel to spark a shakeup with Judgment Day.
