5 Ups & 7 Downs For AEW In 2023 (So Far)

1. The Wembley Stadium Ticket Rush

AEW All In UK 2023
AEW

AEW only announced that they'd be invading London's Wembley Stadium this summer on 5 April. Some critics scoffed, but Tony Khan had the last laugh when tickets went on sale. AEW shifted around 36,000 briefs during the first day of pre-sales, then announced they'd hit 43,000 the next day.

General sales started on 5 May, and the number soared to approx 60,000. That's a magnificent achievement, and shows there's a hunger for non-WWE stadium shows in the UK. Make no mistake, this was a massive success for AEW, and one they're rightly bragging about.

Now, there's a very-real chance the company could fill Wembley in late-August. Imagine that?! Sure, there will likely be some comps and discounted tiks along the way, but this is still set to be a money-spinner for Khan and AEW. It's colossal, and probs ruffled a few feathers at WWE HQ too.

Where's that 'angrytremblingTriple H.GIF' file when one needs it?
