5 Ups & 7 Downs From WWE Raw (18 May - Results & Review)
2. An Afterthought Of A Show

WWE is barreling toward Clash in Italy with two men’s world title matches officially on the books and a WrestleMania 42 rematch between Brock Lesnar and Oba Femi all but finalized, but first there’s the matter of Saturday Night’s Main Event this weekend.
And with a pretty notable PLE on the horizon, WWE very clearly is phoning it in for SNME, booking five matches, none of which feel like a main event-caliber bout. The six-woman tag is house show fare. The two tag title matches feel like obligations, with the women’s tag title bout being another in a series of nondescript title defenses for Brie Bella and Paige.
Penta versus Ethan Page could be a surprise show-stealer, particularly if Page is on his game. WWE could always book a shock title change here as well to shake things up a bit.
The match with the most potential – both for greatness and for an embarrassment – is Sol Ruca versus Becky Lynch. Ruca has had an uneven start, and she’s still learning as she goes, but her offense is eye-catching and could dazzle the audience if it connects. If Sol falters, the match could fall apart, even with a ring general like Becky in there. But this match was thrown together and announced Monday night, with no title on the line, so it scans as more of an exhibition or an introductory match for their feud.
Regardless, this entire show gives “skippable” vibes. Watch the highlights Sunday morning on social media, and you won’t miss anything.
