5 Ups & 8 Downs From AEW Dynamite (Jan 8)

6. Where Was The Follow-Up?

PAC IS A SCARY MAN
AEW

Kenny Omega and Hangman Page barely had a moment to celebrate their victory before PAC appeared on the big screen, stretching the life out of Michael Nakazawa. Omega's goofy little buddy was trapped in his Brutalizer, an army of officials were trying to pry 'The Bastard' away, and when he got up, the intense Brit growled that things like this would keep happening until Omega gave him his rubber match.

'The Best Bout Machine' then ran to the back, and that was it. There was literally nothing else from this programme on the whole show. AEW left the thread hanging without tying it up, as they did a few weeks ago when PAC seemingly kidnapped Nakazawa on Dynamite ahead of a limp Dark payoff.

This would've been a nice opportunity for Omega to rush backstage, find that PAC had left the locker-room, then cut a promo on the former Neville. Lord knows Kenny needs more time on the microphone and it would've wrapped things up in a neat little bow. Instead, this unsatisfying development existed in a bubble, meaning another week passed without any real growth.
