When Dolph Ziggler retained the NXT Championship at NXT Stand and Deliver on Saturday, you had to wonder if this was a sign that Bron Breakker was bound for the main roster.

It turns out that WWE didn’t want to have NXT 2.0’s top star regain the brand’s top prize in front of a half-full arena and wanted to run it back a couple of days later in front of a sold-out crowd on Raw.

Breaker defeated Ziggler in an energetic rematch to recapture the NXT Championship, countering a superkick with a massive spear, then hitting a press-power slam for the win. The crowd popped for Bron’s big power moves, which is about the best you could hope for considering the guy has literally only been on Raw twice.

So it looks like while he might pop up on Raw from time to time as part of the ongoing crossover, Breakker will be staying put on NXT 2.0 for a bit longer to continue developing. And that’s more than fine for the promising superstar.
