Downs…

9. That Looked Bad

Whether it was booked that way or not, RK-Bro losing a week ahead of their match for the Raw Tag Team Championship – after losing last week as well – was not smart.

RK-Bro actually hasn’t won a tag match since Day 1, losing five straight matches. That’s not how to “build momentum” for a title rematch. (Winning the Alpha Academy academic bowl doesn’t count.)

Of course, it’s unclear what the finish was supposed to be and whether Montez Ford’s errant frog splash that seemed to shake up – and possibly injure – Randy Orton changed the finish. If so, then we can forgive this, but otherwise, this was strange booking, to say the least, having two of the three participants in next week’s triple threat tag title match losing.
