3. Apollo Crews Desperately Needs Personality

Defeating both Kalisto and Baron Corbin in a Triple Threat bout, Apollo Crews is now the top contender for the WWE Intercontinental Title. That represents progress for Crews, he wasn't really going anywhere before the brand split. Now, WWE have to focus on giving the guy some actual purpose.

Inside the ring, Crews is awesome to watch. His offensive moves look smooth, he doesn't make mistakes, and he can work with a variety of shapes and sizes. The problem is, aside from his flashy move set, fans haven't really been given much of a reason to get behind the man. Up against someone bursting with personality like The Miz, that could be an issue.

The reason this enters into the 'Downs' section so early is that WWE have the chance to fix it quickly. Starting from next week, the audience must be given some background into Crews and a reason to cheer for him against Miz. Otherwise, he just looks like another also-ran challenger.
