5 Ups And 3 Downs From Last Night's WWE Smackdown

Ups...

5. The Lucha Dragons Get Showcased

A few months ago, news broke online that Vince McMahon was less-than-convinced by the impact The Lucha Dragons were making. The duo looked set to be recipients of a push, but those plans seemed to be in line for cancellation. Thankfully, they've managed to hit the ball out of the park whenever they've been called upon, such as on this past week's Smackdown. It seems WWE feel Neville and The Lucha Dragons vs. Stardust and The Ascension is a go-to match in order to entertain. They're right, but the bout has happened with alarming regularity over the past while. On a more cheerful note, that means more of Sin Cara and Kalisto. Both have been excellent together, and they really suit the high-flying style of Neville too. The Smackdown match only went for around 7 minutes or so, but it showcased The Lucha Dragons perfectly. It was a cool idea to give Kalisto the pinfall victory over Konnor too. A series of matches between the teams could be on the horizon again, and that's not exactly a bad thing. If The Lucha Dragons are going to be on Smackdown more often, that's one good reason to check out the show.
