5 Ups And 5 Downs From Last Night's WWE NXT (May 6)

Light on Wrasslin', heavy on hype.

Takeover:Unstoppable is a mere couple of weeks away and the anticipation's building to a fever pitch. NXT are throwing the entire might of their storytelling department behind the event and while that resulted in a show with only three matches, no storyline was given the night off. There was a contract signing, backstage interviews with Michael Cole, a vignette featuring an as-yet-unnamed new Superstar, video packages of the women's title contenders, home footage from Alex Riley, even a Raw Recap. They squeezed a LOT into an hour. While it's commendable that NXT remains almost maniacally set on keeping all of its plates spinning every week, the lack of wrestling was notable. There can be no doubt in anyone's mind that NXT Takeover: Unstoppable is going to be a can't-miss show, but did WWE get the balance right in this edition of its development program?
