5 Ups And 5 Downs From Last Night's WWE Raw (Oct 23)

Ups...

5. Second Verse, Same As The First

It might have seemed a little odd to have Asuka and Emma fight each other again, but Monday’s bout served its purpose.

After defeating Emma at TLC on Sunday night, Asuka drew the Aussie in a rematch on Raw. The result was the same, but a broadcast (and larger) audience got to see the Empress of Tomorrow fire off some offense against a capable opponent. She mixed in a couple different moves in keeping Emma off-balance, firing off rapid strikes and grabbing a jumping armbar at the outset.

It probably didn’t help that the entire women’s division was otherwise occupied in matches and segments, so Emma really was the only warm body left. But it also made sense at this stage. No need to run through the division in a matter of six weeks.
