5 Ups And 7 Downs From Last Night's WWE Raw (April 20th)

2. Kane Is Compelling

It€™s funny how months of being the butt of jokes and the poster boy for futility can give way to being wildly cheered in a matter of weeks. Kane has been the Authority€™s whipping boy for a year now, serving as the €œmonster€ who gets sent into battle on Triple H and Stephanie€™s behalf, only to lose time and time again. But lately, Kane has been showing more of a spine, standing up to new WWE World Heavyweight Champion Seth Rollins and trying to put him in his place. Things bubbled over Monday night, with Kane telling Rollins that he€™s a €œspoiled little punk who€™s been given everything€ and that he€™s only champion because the Authority allowed it to happen. He then fired off a great line about how the Authority could have made a champ out of Rollins€™ former Shield teammate Dean Ambrose or even El Torito instead of Rollins. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=NBZfmKsbdMc That sort of fire (no pun intended) is something fans have clearly wanted to see from Kane for some time now, as they reacted loudly to that segment. With Kane attempting to resign from the Authority, only to be put in charge of the steel cage door in the Rollins-Randy Orton match, the Big Corporate Monster has suddenly become one of the more interesting figures in WWE.
