5 Ups And 7 Downs From Last Night's WWE Raw (May 13)
2. Baron’s Reign Of Terror Continues
If you agree that Baron Corbin is a waste of space on Raw, then please stop booing him. Vince McMahon clearly can’t tell the difference between “heel heat” and “go away heat.” Just head to the concession stands when he comes out.
Or else we’ll continue to get stuff like what we got Monday night, when Corbin served as a stationary object for Ricochet to bounce off en route to Baron becoming the second person to defeat the One and Only, all in the past month.
After debuting as a tag team with Aleister Black and looking like he was going to be treated as something special, Ricochet is already “just another guy,” losing to Robert Roode (who he promptly beat in a rematch) and now to Corbin, everyone’s favorite Olive Garden waiter/punching bag.
Ricochet made the match watchable, and he got a measure of revenge by tipping the ladder over when Corbin tried to climb after winning, but it’s just painful to watch more talented performers lose to a slug like Baron.
