5 Ups And 8 Downs From Last Night's WWE Raw (Feb 27)

2. Samoan Steamroller

One of the best-booked wrestlers on Raw right now has to be Samoa Joe, who continued his path of destruction Monday night by plowing through a fan favorite and former rival in Cesaro.

Sure, this could be a negative about how Cesaro deserves better, but Joe is the hottest property on Raw right now, so having him survive the Swiss Superman’s onslaught and defeat him was a pretty good way to maintain his momentum. And then, naturally, another fan favorite in Sami Zayn got a measure of revenge by attacking Joe to set up a match at Fastlane.

Sami versus Joe should be an excellent PPV match, and it could really set the table for the Samoan’s run in WWE. A strong win in a show-stealing match could put him at the top of the card in fans’ eyes, and it could open doors going forward.

It’ll be interesting to see where Joe is headed as WrestleMania season wears on.
