5. Kendrick Carrying Feud

It’s safe to say at this point that we’re probably never going to get a cruiserweight match on Raw that rivals anything we saw on Monday Nitro during WCW’s heyday. It’s just not going to happen with Vince McMahon and Kevin Dunn making the decisions.

So, accepting that premise, the best we can hope for are some entertaining bouts with some decent character development. Thankfully, guys like The Brian Kendrick are doing a nice job moving things forward. Kendrick has been feuding with the recently debuted Akira Tozawa, teaching him “lessons” after Tozawa rejected his offer to be Brian’s protégé.

Of course, the “lessons” involve Kendrick jumping Tozawa and beating him down, which of course builds sympathy for the charismatic Akira and makes the former WWE Cruiserweight Champion look even slimier.

If we can’t have five-star spotfests, this will have to do.
