5 Ups And Downs From WWE TLC 2014

4. Rowan Loses To Keep Big Show Strong

Nothing personal against Big Show at all €“ he seems like one of the genuinely nice guys who deserves a lot of respect €“ but his victory last night was a microcosm of what is wrong with WWE right now. Show has been around WWE for 15-plus years now. He€™s turned from heel to face and back more times than anyone can count, and he€™s been alternately booked as a dominant monster and a bumbling, crying buffoon. At this stage in Big Show€™s career, there is no need for him to be much more than a guy to elevate others. If WWE is going to give him a legit title push, then that is one thing, but it seemed obvious after Sunday that he only beat Erick Rowan to stay strong for an eventual confrontation with Roman Reigns. It€™s a shame for Rowan, really. He€™s been given little to no direction in this feud other than he doesn€™t like bullies. Fans have no reason to care for Rowan. A strong performance and a victory could have at least put him on the map. Instead, you could hear an audible groan from the crowd when Show hit the knockout punch, probably because they also know that he is only winning so he looks strong for whomever he is fed to next.
