5 Wrestling Dream Matches That Make Perfect Sense (And 5 That Don't)

7. DON'T - The Elite Vs The New Day

The Fiend Doink
AEW/WWE

There was a lot of fun to be had when, in 2018, Kenny Omega and The Young Bucks took on The New Day at E3. It was only playing Street Fighter rather than locking up, but the appearances of Kofi Kingston, Big E and Xavier Woods on Being The Elite was enough to stoke the fires about a possible six-man tag between the stables whenever promotions or schedules permitted.

But that time never arrived, and now it probably never should. These sort of novelty bookings were right out of the playbook being utilised by most non-WWE groups several years ago, but AEW's very existence had removed some of the independent sheen from the Executive Vice Presidents. Thats assuming the three of them will ever be as tight as their WWE equivalents again in light of recent events on television.

Regardless, with one side in tatters and the other with two thirds on the shelf, it's easier to think about a singles programme instead...
