5 Wrestling Matches Nobody Wanted (But Now Anticipate Massively)
3. The Miz Vs. Daniel Bryan
When Talking Smack debuted in August 2016, the show seemed to be nothing more than filler content for the WWE Network. However, the lax scripting made the show a veritable playground for talent, none more so than Daniel Bryan and The Miz.
On the 23 August 2016 episode of Talking Smack, The Miz finally stepped up with a paroxysm of anger directed at the beloved Bryan. After years of floundering as a mid-card act, the outburst showed a fire rarely seen from the Miz.
The altercation became a talking point overnight and the video itself has since racked up well over two million views on YouTube. Miz even began using Bryan's moves on TV and the two had the hottest angle in WWE. Sadly, one half of the equation was inactive.
While the buzz has since died down from the initial spat, it could be reignited with ease. Even if Bryan isn't cleared to wrestle, WWE could work it into a storyline whereby Miz and Bryan collide in an unsanctioned "match" where Bryan takes little punishment himself.
After all, if WWE could book Bret Hart to compete in several "matches" after suffering a career ending head injury and a stroke, surely there's wiggle room for Bryan to get physical in some way?
