First, some pleasing real-life goodness. Recent WWE news revealed that wrestling power couple Miro and CJ Perry are back together. The pair rose to fame in WWE's system as Rusev and Lana. They've had their ups and downs on screen and off, but things are back on more positive footing. Good for them. Fingers crossed it works out and both are happy.

No-one was smiling or happy with the brutal, 'Rusev is a sex addict' storyline in 2019.

Lana claimed that her then-onscreen lover wanted to get intimate everywhere, including inside the big tank at WrestleMania 31. That was a detail nobody needed to hear, but WWE had Lana spill all (careful!) about the fractured couple's love making. Of course, she seemed horrified by all of this whilst cavorting in public with new squeeze Bobby Lashley. Figure that one out.

WWE briefly flirted with the idea that Rusev didn't mind seeing his wife get freaky with other men, then there was Liv Morgan and her outburst about falling in love with Lana. The entire story was a twisted mess of half-arsed ideas. The Liv and Lana romance was dropped cold, then they insinuated that Rusev was a cuck. Then he wasn't. See? It was total chaos.

Lana told the world that Rusev was controlling and addicted to sex, but he alleged that she was the one with the problem. On and on this went until Miro left the promotion in April 2020 and everything was scrapped. Good riddance to bad rubbish. If the reunited pair do return to WWE, then this plot better not resurface.
