6 Reasons Daniel Bryan's Retirement Will Hurt WWE In The Long Run
2. We'll Now Miss So Many Dream Matches
Triple H has been a busy bee over the last few years. His baby, NXT has come into full fruition, and boy has he been able to snap up some talent for it. WWE's developmental division has been signing up independent talent like wildfire and the hardcore fanbase had been wetting themselves with excitement at the prospect of some of the potential matches in the pipeline. Seriously, who wouldn't want to see Bryan Danielson vs Samoa Joe, or Shinsuke Nakamura? The matches you'd heard about on the indy scene but never managed to actually see would be coming to the biggest stage of it all. We'd seen teases of how good this could be with Bryan's excellent feud with CM Punk, another foe from his indy days. If the matches between the two of them were as good as they were, then how goddamn good would it have been to see Bryan lock up with AJ Styles or Sami Zayn? With many of these superstars sitting in NXT, the instant rub they would have receieved from working a solid match with such a big name in Bryan would have been priceless in putting them over with the regular easygoing fan. Unfortunately, Bryan's retirement now shatters these hopes, and leaves fans wondering as to what these dream matches could have been like. I suppose we always have the Internet, I guess.
