3. His Upcoming Feud With Triple H Didn't Need The WWE Title Involved

Rollins was likely going to turn babyface in the new year if reports of Rollins vs. Triple H at WrestleMania are to be believed. The idea would be that Hunter picked Rollins to be the face of WWE, then Rollins losing the WWE Title to Reigns and Rollins gets "kicked out" of The Authority for his failures. There have been many subtle hints in the last few months that this feud may have been on the horizon, which makes me believe that it was the plan. Triple H has been rumoured to be facing The Rock at WrestleMania. It wasn't confirmed, but it makes sense based off the angle they did at WrestleMania earlier this year. There are some other people that could work as opponents for Rock, but with Rollins on the shelf now it may mean Rock vs. Triple H is more likely. If Rollins vs. Triple H was the planned direction then there was no way that they would have kept the WWE Title on Rollins much longer. With all due respect to Triple H, his days in the WWE Title picture are over and the match with Rollins didn't need the title involved.
