6 Reasons Why Seth Rollins Was Going To Lose The WWE Title Anyway
4. The Shield Triple Threat Match Wasn't A Sure Thing For WrestleMania
A match that a lot of people wanted to see at WrestleMania, myself included, was the first time ever Shield triple threat match with Seth Rollins defending the WWE Title against Roman Reigns and Dean Ambrose. It would have been the perfect place to do that match in front of what could be WWE's biggest crowd ever. Despite the fans wanting it, there are indications that it wasn't going to happen. Rollins may have been wrestling Triple H at WrestleMania while WWE could opt to put Reigns against Brock Lesnar in a rematch from WrestleMania 31. Where that leaves Dean Ambrose at this point is unknown, but they probably would have found a feud for him, too. What the Rollins injury means is that the much-haralded Shield triple threat match continues to be on hold with no target date in sight. Rollins may be ready to return to the ring next summer, where the rumours of the triple threat will spring up again, but for now it's off the books and it's possible it wasn't going to happen in 2016 anyway.
